Travel to Irvine, California:

If you are flying in for the conference, you may want to rent a car at the airport (it’s Southern California), though ride shares (Uber/Lyft) and cabs are readily available.

John Wayne Airport (SNA) is the nearest airport to University of California, Irvine.

Long Beach Airport (LGB), about half an hour away, depending upon traffic, is another option. It is an easy airport to negotiate.

The Los Angeles airport (LAX) is the largest airport in southern California. (Irvine is located in Orange County, not Los Angeles.) An Uber or Lyft from LAX to Irvine, depending on traffic, costs ca. $50.00. Shuttle services between LAX/Irvine are not recommended.
